Happy Mothers Day to me!

For Mothers Day my oh so sweet husband got me my long awaited Bengal. For those of you who don't know what Bengals are, they come from breeding domestic shorthairs with Asian Leopards. The cats are only wild in looks, not tempermant. Anyway, after we lost our last cat Colt after having him for 5 yrs Jake swore we'd never have another pet. And we haven't for a couple of years now. Somehow I must have hinted enough and got my wish! Thanks babe, the kids and I are loving him and sure you will too soon enough :)

In Loving Memory "COLT" Mar 03'-Aug 08'

California

The last week of April we cleared the calendars and took off for Laguna Beach. Crew turned 3 the day we left so we celebrated his b-day on the road which he was fine with. Plenty of movies and snacks held the kids over until we reached Primm and called it a day. We got up early the next morning and were on the beach in sunny CA by 1pm. We met up with Brett & Christy and the cousins for a fun day splashing in the waves.
Sunday we went to church in Laguna and then went to Brett & Christy's for a delicious dinner. We also celebrated Crew's birthday. His cousin Maddy made him the cutest "beach" themed birthday cake. Such talent! Monday we spent a fun day at Disneyland. We got to the park at opening and stayed until a half an hour before closing. Huge day for the kids but they had a blast. Tues we packed up early and headed back home. We stopped for the day in Mesquite and let the kids swim, waterslide, and run wild for the next day. We timed it perfect to miss all the snow Utah was getting while we soaked up the sun. Thanks to Derik and April for letting us use the beach house for our stay. We had such a fun trip and the kids did great. We are anxious to get back and do it all again!
