Pleasant Creek Falls

In July while we were at the ranch we took an awesome day trip to Pleasant Creek Falls. None of us had been before but had heard how fun it was. We loaded up 5 4-wheelers and a rhino and towed them to Lower Bowns where we unloaded and drove 10 or so miles on a trail to Pleasant Creek. The trail was great although a bit sketchy at times. Once there we made lunch, relaxed, and played in the water for awhile. It was so pretty. Everyone had a blast. We will definately make it back next year.

Lake Tahoe

With summer in full swing, Jake and I thought we would sneak away for a quick trip, just the two of us. We decided on Lake Tahoe since we had never been there before. We left the kids at the ranch with Grandma and cousins and Aunts to look after them. Tahoe was a beautiful as the pics we had seen. Our first full day there we went river rafting on the Truckee River. It was so much fun! A first for us both and definately something we will do again. The next day we took a lunch cruise to Emerald bay with a bunch of old timers. The views were great but it definately dragged on too long. On our last full day we drove around the lake and hiked Eagle Falls, then it was back to Reno to catch a flight home the next morning. The trip felt a bit short but it was a great mini-vacay!

4th of July

We had another great 4th of July at the ranch this year. Parade, races, bbq, fireworks, and fun!
